This past weekend we drove to the beach...our first stop was the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium. This is the Aligator exhibit...OUCH!
this is a "living" ship wreck with lots of fish and sharks
Our secon stop was visiting Fort Macon...this was very cool to see!

this is an arial photo of Fort Macon back in the 1900's...it's shaped like the pentagon. Today, this forts layout still looks the same even down to the road to get to the fort
AND then we left Fort Macon and headed to the beach!!! We couldn't swim in the water because the under current was too strong, so we plan on going back next month! The picture above where the pink piece of paper is in the bottom right corner...thats where im standing in the picture below
We spent most of the time walking along the beach and picking up sea shells
